The Solution
Initially the website was based around a single copy of EasySite with specific areas dedicated to other organisations. The administration of the system was centrally managed by a single website address.
The Community Version of EasySite was then specifically developed to allow each partner organisation to create their own micro website within a wider community of websites.
Each micro website has the ability to:
Manage all aspects of their micro-site content
Create new administrative users within their micro website, on an unlimited basis
Ability to manage users/groups and privileges within their own section
Each micro-site will have its own 'identity' with an individual design and URL (website address)
Create links to both other micro sites within the community and external websites
It is possible to search a specific section or across the whole site, which includes other organisation sections and GNP 'parent' section
The Result
A single copy of EasySite Community now manages over 40 partner websites within the Greater Nottingham area, ranging from The Carers Council to Simkins Farm and Community Project.
Each website within the community provides access to a vast amount of information, enabling the Greater Nottingham Community to find local information quickly and easily.
