6th February 2008 – EIBS strengthens its position in the NHS market. Following a formal tender process, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust has chosen EasySite CMS to manage their intranet and internet websites.
Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust provides acute hospital based services to a population of approximately 350,000 people living in and around the towns of Chelmsford, Maldon and Witham. The Trust is a recognised teaching Hospital and employs almost 3000 staff across all of the hospital sites.
Using EasySite Community the Trust will be able to manage multiple intranet and internet sites within a single environment. EasySite Community allows each website within the solution to; have its own unique domain name, have a distinct identity and design, share information with other community sites and maintain a site-specific or global search engine enabling staff and website visitors to find relevant content quickly and easily.
Hosted locally the Trust’s sites will enable staff to access a wide variety of information, from contact databases to job opportunities and the general public to access the main website.
The Trust has also invested in various EasySite plugin modules to develop the capabilities of their websites including; Directory Builder, Polling Module, Personal Portal, Mailing List and Events Manager.
