EDEN DISTRICT COUNCIL SELECT EASYSITE CMS™

Eden District Council

11th October 2007 - EIBS is pleased to announce that EasySite CMS™ has been chosen to power Eden District Council’s (DC) website.  Following a review of website strategies by the Council, EasySite was selected to replace an existing CMS solution.

Eden District Council’s overall aim is to improve services to best serve the people of Eden.  The Council is the second largest district in England, covering 830 square miles and therefore easy access to services is extremely important.  The Council is committed to ensure that these services are accessible, responsive and cost-effective.

EasySite CMS™ was chosen for its ease of use in addition to high levels of service and communication.  In order to assist with fast implementation and create quick buy-in, the contract included full training for all website authors within the council.  Style training was also delivered to ensure the Eden development team could continue to maintain strong branding consistency across the new site.

In addition to the core package, Eden DC has chosen additional functionality including Event Calendar and Form Builder.  Bespoke development has further enhanced the EasySite software and has also allowed for important pre-existing website functionality to be maintained.

David Walsh, EIBS Sales Consultant comments, “We’re delighted to be chosen by Eden District Council to deliver their new website.  EasySite’s flexibility has enabled the Council to maintain key elements of the site, whilst allowing for bespoke development of other areas.  We look forward to helping the Council to meet its website objectives.”

"Eden are delighted to be moving to EasySite and I look forward to a more standards compliant site later this year enabling easier service delivery to our site users.  Moving from one CMS to another was never going to be easy but EIBS have eased the transition enormously. Partnership working with EIBS has already proved beneficial to both sides and I look forward to a continuation and strengthening of that relationship." Comments Julian Scarlett, Web Manager, Eden District Council.
