EIBS is pleased to announce that University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) has chosen healthcentrix web-to-print portal to assist both the Knowledge Management and Communications Department with document and artwork production.
UHL is made up of the three NHS hospitals in Leicester; Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital and Leicester Royal Infirmary. They provide services for almost one million people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and beyond. UHL is rated as a three star organisation and is one of Britain’s top teaching hospital trusts. Their mission is to give patients the best possible care so that they can live healthier, fuller, longer lives.
healthcentrix will be used jointly by the Knowledge Management and Communications department to both produce and control the availability of a wide range of corporate documents and marketing communications material.
UHL were looking for an artwork generation system that would interface with their existing document management system (DMS) thus allowing all master documents to be controlled with review dates and authorised users. EIBS added some bespoke development to healthcentrix to ensure that it is fully interfaced with the DMS used by UHL. By combining the two systems together UHL will benefit from greater control over the distribution of documents throughout the trust.
Healthcentrix will allow the UHL communications team to increase the amount of literature that can be made available to the public and the variety of language catered for. Healthcentrix is Unicode supported allowing information to be created in most global languages. Healthcentrix will be used to create a wide range of communications material including general and condition based patient information leaflets, corporate and community newsletters, procedural guides, and clinical apparatus technical specification and troubleshooting guides.
