16th July 2007 – EIBS LTD is pleased to announce the launch of a new website dedicated to providing information on self help organisations across the UK. Managed by Intuition Communication the newly launched Self Help UK website www.self-help.org.uk/, has been created to provide site visitors with a wide range of self help information.
Self Help UK is a free and non profit making site which has been developed to provide a resource for patients, carers and their relatives. Self Help UK is provided by Intuition Communication Ltd, specialists in health care publishing on the Internet. The site provides a searchable database of over 1,000 self help organisations, patient support groups and charities across the UK that provide support, guidance and advice to patients, carers and their relatives. The groups and organisations that are covered, embrace many medical conditions, diseases and treatments.
The Self Help UK site makes extensive uses of EasySite’s Directory Builder Module. A searchable database enables site visitors to find support organisations that can assist with a specified condition. This directory helps to ensure that site visitors can find the information that is most relevant to their needs. For each organisation in the directory, site visitors can obtain information including contact details, website URL and details on the types of services they offer.
As well as a directory of self help organisations the Self Help UK site also offers extensive information on other self help resources and books that are available. Using EasySite, site authors are able to ensure that the resource links and information are kept current and up-to-date with changes in the industry.
