22nd April 2008 – EIBS is pleased to announce that the new website for Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust has now been launched. The new site is powered by EasySite Content Management System.
Rated as excellent by the Healthcare Commission for the quality of services the Trust provides hospital care across six sites in Chelmsford, Braintree and Maldon. Broomfield hospital is the main site, home of the renowned St Andrews centre for plastic surgery and burns.
The new site, hosted locally, uses EasySite Community which will allow the Trust to manage multiple intranet and internet sites in the future. The public facing website is the first site to be launched.
The new website gives the local community a wealth of information about the Trust including an A-Z of services and the ability to download patient information leaflets. The website makes use of EasySite plug-in modules for advanced functionality such as Form builder to allow online applications for membership of the Foundation Trust.
Further development will include the launch of a new intranet which will feature a wide variety of information for staff to access, in particular internal policies and documents which will be categorised for easy retrieval.
