EIBS is pleased to announce their support of Nigel Macknight's Quicksilver team in their attempt to break the current World Water Speed Record. Launched in April 06 the new Quicksilver website is powered by EIBS’s powerful content management system EasySite™.
The need for speed has challenged both men and machine for centuries. In order to break the World Water Speed Record the Quicksilver team will need to harness technology and ingenuity to ensure the perfect combination of wind, water, distance and time.
The newly launched Quicksilver website provides a powerful tool for both sharing information on the team’s progress and supporting fundraising activities. In the Quicksilver Shop enthusiasts and supporters will be able to purchase official team merchandise including jackets, shirts, hats and bags. For individuals and corporations wishing to become a part of the challenge the site provides information on Club Quicksilver and the Quicksilver Corporate Club.
“We are very pleased that we have been able to offer our support to the Quicksilver team. Their newly launched website creates a powerful channel for the team’s message to be spread within in the UK and internationally.”
“We wish Nigel and the Quicksilver team the best of luck with the challenge - EIBS will be there to support them all the way!” comments David Bolton, Sales and Marketing Director, EIBS.
Low-speed trials will take place in the autumn of 2006. The Quicksilver team plans to make its record challenge on Coniston Water in England's Lake District, subject to gaining the necessary approvals, within the January-March 2008 timeframe.
