Community Justice Portal chooses EasySite CMS

23rd June 2008 – EIBS Ltd is pleased to announce that EasySite CMS has been chosen to power the Community Justice Portal following a competitive tender process.

The Community Justice Portal is a dynamic information and networking e-learning environment for all those engaged in the community justice sector including; academics, students and practitioners in the probation, prison and courts services, the voluntary sector and JPs, court officials and solicitors.  The Portal links to an e-learning environment and is managed by Sheffield Hallam University.  The site has been operational since 2002.

With a small number of authors updating and managing the website, EasySite Lite will be used to power the site, offering a non-technical environment for editing and creating site content.

To fully meet the interactive requirements of the Community Justice Portal, a range of EasySite plug-in modules will be utilised including; Discussion forum, Form builder, Polling and Personal portal.  The Personal portal module allows registered site visitors to have a fully configurable ‘My Portal’ page where they can subscribe to their favourite pages, categories and searches.  In addition site visitors can elect to be emailed when their chosen pages have changed so they know when to return to the site for updated information.  The new site will be launched in early September 2008.

Commenting on the new partnership, Nik Hutton, Sales Consultant for EIBS Ltd, said “We’re delighted to be working with Sheffield Hallam University on this project which is an excellent example of an organisation being able to use the core EasySite system to manage and maintain their site but with the flexibility of plug-in modules to add the interactive functionality the site needs.”
